Gus Faucher, Chief Economist at PNC Financial Services, discussed a range of issues, such as his thoughts on the long term economic recovery from COVID-19, his role as an economist for a bank, and how he decided to become an economist. Prior to his work at PNC, Faucher worked as a Senior Economist at Moody Analytics. He also worked for six years at the US Treasury Department and taught at the University of Illinois. He has a Ph. D in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and serves on the Board of Directors at The Economic Club of Pittsburgh.
