Optional video response

The Video Response is an optional application component allowing you to share more about yourself beyond the Written Response. Think of it as your opportunity to showcase your personality, interests, and what makes you unique! The video will help our admissions team get to know you better and assess your enthusiasm and fit for JEC.

Please review the following guidelines should you choose to include a Video Response:

  • Duration: 90 seconds maximum

  • Format: Upload your video under any standard video format (such as MP4).

  • The quality of your video is not evaluated; we are solely interested in learning more about you. Accordingly, please upload only a continuous, unedited video.

There is no specific topic expected in your Video Response. We are interested in learning about you, so please share whatever you feel is most representative of your personality, interests, and potential contributions to JEC. The following prompts can provide inspiration for your response:

  • What do you most enjoy doing in your free time?

  • Tell us about a book or article you read recently. What did you learn? Has this article prompted your interest in learning more about the topic?

  • When did you become interested in economics, business, entrepreneurship, or finance?

  • How have you explored these interests both within and outside of school?

If you feel you meet the applicant profile, we strongly encourage you to apply. We look forward to reviewing your application!
