Robert Kirkwood, Chapter President and Global Co-Vice President, is a senior at Lycée Français de Chicago. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer, during which he developed and implemented the JEC Connect family of apps and JEC’s cloud infrastructure. Robert is especially interested in the relation between finance, economics, and technology. His interest in investing led him to found JEC’s Investment Team, and he enjoys following financial markets. Robert is fluent in French and is learning German. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and chess, cycling, cooking, and umpiring for a local youth baseball league.
Lindsey Prochot, Vice President, is a senior at Walter Payton College Prep. She is interested in exploring business and finance, with hopes to one day become an entrepreneur. At Payton, she is co-chair of the Economics and Investment Team, and has led the team to compete in national economics and finance challenges. As a leader of the PACE student investment committee, she also helps the student body invest the school's $50,000 endowment. Outside of school, Lindsey works with the Re-Write It Project, a non-profit with a mission to improve access to school supplies across Chicagoland, serving as Vice President of Finance. She loves to exercise in her free time, as a varsity badminton player and flag football co-captain, an she watercolor paints whenever possible.
Theodore Tikhomirov, Chief Financial Officer, is a junior at the Latin School of Chicago. He serves on Latin’s Student Academic Board, competes for the Math Team, and also participates in 2 of his school's a-cappella groups—59 West and Latones. Additionally, Theodore was Vice President of the Wharton Investment Competition at Latin. Theodore is also a dedicated member of the Latin Student Investment Fund, which is a student-led committee responsible for managing $90,000 of Latin’s endowment. Outside of school, Theodore co-founded Fencing for a Purpose, a non-profit organization focused on making fencing more accessible. As CFO, he managed fundraising efforts, and also runs their social media pages and website. Additionally, Fencing for a Purpose ran several camps, introducing kids of all ability levels to the sport, and also sponsoring Ukraine’s Fencing Federation with necessary equipment and travel funds for young athletes to compete internationally. In his free time, Theodore likes reading tech news and staying up to date on the latest trends in the industries of aerospace, information technology, and finance. He is also a nationally-ranked épée fencer in both U17 and U20 and hopes to continue fencing in college.
Kevser Basic, Assistant Financial Officer, is a sophomore at Walter Payton College Preparatory. Her primary interests are microeconomics, behavior economics, writing, and neuroscience. Kevser is a junior varsity policy debater at Walter Payton, winning the 1st place speaker award in her division at the ‘23-’24 City Championship, and is a member of the Payton Paw Print newspaper. Outside of school, she is a member and soloist in the choir at her local Bosnian community center, and performs all over the country. In the future, Kevser hopes to pursue a mix of business and neuroscience, and build a career that combines the two. In her free time, she loves to read, create art, bike, hike, and spend time at the nearby archery range.
Leah Wu, Chief Marketing Officer, is a junior at Walter Payton College Prep. Her primary interests include economics, finance, environmental science, energy, and writing. She is currently focused on researching the economic policies surrounding nuclear energy. In school, Leah serves as co-chair of the Economics and Investment Team, co-captain of the Science Bowl Team, and plays volleyball for Payton. Outside of school, she is the co-editor in chief of the National Youth Science Journal, a member of the Argonne National Laboratory Teen Advisory Council, and has been regionally and nationally recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In her free time, Leah enjoys discovering new music, hanging out with friends, and playing the tenor saxophone.
Kavin Ramasamy, Chief Technology Officer, is a junior at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. He is a Yale Young Global Scholar in Politics, Law, and Economics and enjoys exploring the intersection of economy, finance, and technology. He is also interested in programming and software development. He develops and maintains mobile and web applications and is interested in exploring cutting-edge technologies. He enjoys reading and writing articles on economics and finance and engaging in discussions on finance and monetary policies. He is the president and founder of the High School Internships Club, which connects businesses and high school students for internships. Additionally, Kavin is a member of Chicago Teen Mentors, where he tutors sixth graders in math. He enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and traveling in his free time.
Rohin Shah, Assistant Operations Officer, is a sophomore at the Latin School of Chicago, where he serves as a board member on the Latin Student Investment Fund, news editor for The Forum, Student Government grade representative, and member of the varsity basketball and track teams. Additionally, Rohin competes on Latin's ICTM math team and recently became an Illinois 9th/10th mathematics state champion. He is particularly interested in economics and finance and loves to find ways to use these passions to make change. Outside of school, Rohin has interned at the On the Money Magazine and volunteers at the Chicago Refugee Coalition. In his free time, he loves to travel, spend time with friends, and cook.
Somik Baweja, Director of Initiatives, is a senior at Dunlap High School. He has a strong passion for Finance and Economics as well as giving back to his community. Somik is the co-founder and president of his school’s investment club, where he helps educate members on various aspects of financial markets. Additionally, he founded Bright Financial Literacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial education to underprivileged communities through innovative programs to enhance financial understanding and resilience within the community. Somik also interns at his local Habitat for Humanity chapter, where he strategically sources products for the ReStore, boosting revenue to fund more home-building projects. In his free time, he enjoys flying drones, watching movies and shows, and hanging out with friends.
Siddhanta Singh, Asst. Director of Strategic Initiatives, is a Junior at Adlai.E.Stevenson high school. He is the founder president of the Investing Club at his school and passionate about subjects of Economics and Finance. Sid is the winner of stock market investing and personal finance competitions at state level and has represented Illinois at national level. In his free time, Sid likes to write about current economic challenges and can be found playing at the local golf and tennis clubs.
