During this event, Sara Guderyahn, Vice President of Social Impact at the Chicago Blackhawks and Executive Director of the Blackhawks Foundation, explored her accomplished career path, beginning with her work in the public policy and non-profit sectors, and ending up at her current role at the Blackhawks combining both her business and policy know-how. She discussed the revenue breakdown of the team and the foundation, touching on Covid’s impact on the Blackhawk’s financial viability and how it served as a catalyst for fundamental change in the organization, while sharing the importance of the Foundation’s work on creating a positive social impact in the broader community. Finally, Ms. Guderyahn took questions from JEC members on the correlation between the team’s success and the viability of the foundation and organization as well as the future of the Blackhawks with respect to streaming and media.
