In this event, Rita Sola Cook, Managing Director and President of Bank of America Chicago, discussed her non-linear career and the lessons she has accumulated from it. She advised members to understand their transferable skills, find a company they can grow with, take calculated risks, have pride in what they do, adopt a work-life harmony, know that their diversity of thought adds value, and remember that no career is permanent. As President of Bank of America Chicago, Ms. Cook also described how the for-profit company makes a difference in small businesses and organizations in the Chicagoland area, emphasizing how large companies can still conduct themselves with purpose.
