In this event, Mark Witte, professor of economics at Northwestern, presented on environmental economics. Professor Witte talked about how economics can be utilized as a tool to solve environmental issues and reviewed some of the notable events in the history of environmental economics. Professor Witte also provided insight into the value of carbon taxes through the lens of game theory, allowing JEC members to better understand economics in relation to human behavior.
