On March 27, 2021, The Junior Economic Club hosted the third of many Diversity and Inclusion events, it focused on gender diversity and the speaker was Seema Hingorani. Hingorani is the Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and the Founder and Chair of Girls Who Invest, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the asset management industry. After Hingorani spoke, attendees split into breakout rooms to discuss Hingorani’s presentation and gender diversity. At the event, the JEC organized an opportunity to recognize and think about the recent attacks on AAPI people, which they did by giving a statement at the beginning of the event and then hosting discussions in the aforementioned breakout rooms.
