Strategies Behind Commercial Real Estate with Savills Chicago Leadership

Savills is a publicly traded company and one of the world's leading real estate service providers with 600 offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

During this lunch and learn, high school students had the opportunity to connect with Savills Chicago Office leadership to discuss their professional experience, an overview of real estate career options, and the intricacies of commercial real estate deals. Speakers included Eric Feinberg, Vice Chairman, Co-Head Chicago Region, Chicago; George Kohl, Executive Vice President of Operations, Midwest Region - Managing Broker, Chicago; and Brandon Nasatir, Assistant Director, Chicago. 

Throughout his real estate career, Eric Feinberg has executed over 10 million square feet of transactions domestically and internationally. With an extensive consulting background and financial structuring expertise, Eric develops strategic plans and financial models that enable his clients to transact on their real estate goals and align to core organizational objectives. As a Vice Chairman for the firm, Eric’s experience spans across a wide breadth of industries. He has worked with many of the firm’s most noteworthy clients on some of the most significant real estate transactions in the region. Eric has led and managed strategic consulting and financial structuring evaluations for the American Bar Association, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, CNA Insurance, T. Rowe Price, Goldman Sachs, and the Illinois Medical District.

As Executive Vice President of Operations for the Midwest Region, George Kohl applies best practices perfected during a long career in the commercial real estate industry to help Savills cultivate talent, streamline operations management and develop new and existing service lines to further strengthen the company’s position in the Midwest. Bringing more than three decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry, he most recently as Chief Operating Officer for Chicago-based real estate development firm Sterling Bay. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of operations including property management, leasing, engineering, construction services, legal and accounting. Kohl previously served as Trammell Crow Co.’s Managing Director for the Midwest trade area and Senior Managing Director for CBRE.

Brandon Nasatir is an Assistant Director specializing in tenant advisory in the Savills Chicago office. Brandon’s main focus is on business development and market analysis. Brandon’s deep-rooted ties to Chicago give him insight into the dynamics of the market while he establishes and maintains relationships with a diverse network of business contacts across the technology, industrial services, nonprofit and financial services sectors. Brandon joined Savills in 2020, after making his mark in commercial real estate as an associate broker with Avison Young, where he completed over 18 transactions totaling over 100,000 square feet in his first two years. Prior to joining Avison Young, Brandon was a summer associate at ICM Properties in Chicago. During his time at ICM, Brandon was a top producer, leasing over 70 apartments during his short time with the company.
